The Empty Pockets pride themselves on delivering what they call, “handcrafted rock and roll.” They have toured America relentlessly since 2006. A few of their show reviews follow:the empty pockets

  • “This is a Band you should go see if they’re anywhere within driving distance. It’s great music done by people who like to create FUN, as well.” –Dr. Rex Dexter, The Arts are Global
  • “Huge young, talent… Terrific!” –Chicago Tribune
  • “The talent of the band is undeniable.” VocalsOnTop.com
  • “They play intelligent, well-crafted pop/rock with substance…” Duke Egbert, Daily Vault Album Reviews
  • “I guess the best word to describe this band is fun. Amy Lotsberg, Producer of Collected Sounds

This is a splendid – FUN – way to enjoy some great music and support a noble cause. Your support will help rescue malnourished children in remote areas of our country. Companies and organizations that book the band’s performance will receive recognition on Aid for Kids Vietnam website, online articles, and a backdrop at the Children & Family Expo 2015, where we anticipate 20,000 – 30,000 visitors to attend at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center on 26 & 27 December 2015.

In addition to their performances, the band – and the Solomons – are donating $3,000 to our Aid for Kids Nutrition Program. Wow! If you are wondering why are they are doing this, it is because Vietnam has always had a special place in the heart of one of the of the band members, Josh Solomon. Many years ago, Josh traveled to Vietnam with his mother, Joan Hallagan. She was in the process of adopting Josh’s 16 year old brother from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. That journey made a lasting impression upon Josh. He returned to Vietnam a few years later bringing with him large suitcases filled with medical supplies. He visited as many orphanages and shelters for street children as possible. The following letter will reveal to you the reasons for this very kind offer by Josh and The Empty Pockets….
