Our Vietnam Director, Joy MyLien Degenhardt, was born in Cam Ranh, Vietnam in 1968. She was adopted by the Founder of Aid Aid for Kids (USA) in 1972. Joy returned to Vietnam in 1992, saw the overwhelming needs of many of the orphanages and promised that she would volunteer in Vietnam for one year. That was 22 years ago. She has lived and worked in Vietnam since 1993. During that time, she helped to establish and organize numerous humanitarian projects. She has received numerous awards from Vietnamese government officials for her volunteer work.
