Family situation

My family meets many difficulties about the economy. There is little rice-field and land too work on. My parents work on the farm for other since they have no land. My brother and sister are still studying. My family belongs to a mountain tribe (minority). After school, my sister have duties to wash clothes and do labor work for othe family so we have more money for the education and food. We don’t have the capital to do business. I was able to get high grades and pass the entrance exam into the University. Besides studying many hours, I must work to earn money for studying and send money home to help decrease the family’s difficulties.

Social worker comments

Tuyet is an excellent student but her family meets many difficulties as there are other children. With a scholarship, this will help her family and she will be able to concentrate on completing her university degree.
